Playing the Game
You can choose from 4 difficulties, Easy (5 letter words) to Very Hard (8 letter words). You can also restrict the words to the more common words in each category. This in effect gives you 8 levels of difficulty.
Each word contains no repeated letters, so words like RADAR are not included.
Every time you guess a word correctly you have the option of looking it up in a selection of on-line dictionaries, so that you can learn more about the word and it's useage.
Each game consists of 10 words to solve one after the other, and you get up to 18 tries to get it right. The program will give you a hint at the beginning by showing you 1 letter in the word, and will give you clues as to how right you are after each guess, in the form of coloured disks.
You can also ask for additional Hints during each word, but these hints will cost you points from your score.
Highest Scores are recorded and the 10 highest for each game level displayed in the game on request.
