Left to right the top buttons are:

Opens the bottom half of the form.(shown open here).
Shows the available skins. Click one and a preview is shown to the right. Click Apply to change the skin.
Adjusts the transparency of the forms. + to increase transparency - to decrease it.
Tick to have the program start minimised each time windows starts automatically.
